Silver Ski 2007

We are so hoping for snow for the Saturday Silver Ski 2007 because the connecting trails are a bit thin. However, there is still lots of groomed snow at Willow Creek Park and as always we are going to have our event. No Matter What! If we can have Tour des Suds in a blizzard in September we can have our Silver Ski 2007 event in February!

So join us at Willow Creek Park from 12:30-2:30 on Saturday September 10 at Willow Creek Park for lots of outdoor fun. Broom Ball, Cross Country Clinics and demos by Rossignol, very cool Swix Silver Ski caps and lots of other schwag.

We'll be there with hot chocolate, cookies and marshmallows to roast over Bill Brown's Olympic Cauldron. This is all a part of Park City Winterfest so bring the kids, bring the grannies and celebrate our Olympic Legacy!
Thanks to our presenting partners: Basin Recreation and Park City Municipal
and our Sponsors: Rossignol, Zions Resort Bank, Starbucks, Clif Bar, White Pine Touring, Park City Chamber/Visitors Bureau, Toko and The Colony.

Basin Recreation Grooming report

Everything in excellent condition, just watch for a couple of thin spots on the East 224 Trail by the barn and behind the Redstone Condos. Also, Basin Recreation along with other sponsors are celebrating winter trails with the 2007 Silver Ski on Saturday, February 10th, please see the attached flyer. I will be on vacation next week but have my cohorts from the parks department grooming on Monday or Tuesday and again on Friday (weather permitting) so look for the fresh corduroy on those days.

Frozen in Time Race March 8

Check this event...and it is to benefit Mountain Trails and others. This sounds like fun and thanks to Ryan Miller and Team Cuthroat.

"Frozen in Time Race will be including a ski component for an optional Duathlon this year. Since this is a MTF fundraiser I thought you might want to pass it along to the members and supporters. More info can be found here: http://www.cutthroatracing.org/"
